Excellence
When we set out to accomplish something, it gets completed and done right. A college professor’s words echoed in Ben’s past: “If you need something done right and soon, give the job to the busiest person you know.” That sums up our lives here. We work hard to make each project matter—and we rehab every vacation home with pride and excellence.
Quality
Some jobs take longer than others. As a family doing each rehab project out-of-pocket, we sometimes pause until we can access the best solution for the job at hand. That could mean extra time for the perfect countertop or just-right flooring. We research thoroughly and achieve our goals with surpassing quality.
Hard Work
To achieve the excellence and quality we expect—and to pass those benefits on to our guests—we work hard, all the time. Managing a farm, a full-time job, family life, and a short-term rental business leaves little downtime, but the reward is great places for others to find joy and fulfillment, and enrichment as we meet new people.
Responsibility
Our land has been handed down through generations, and we don’t take that lightly. We take pride in restoring neglected parts of the property and making them better than ever. We invest in the machinery and effort to excavate, rejuvenate, and rehabilitate the land and buildings—so our children have an even better future.
Innovation
We love making spaces unique. When reclaimed barn wood proved costly, we discovered an old sawmill, long deserted after a family dispute, and were permitted to gather what we needed. One home now features “barn wood” walls, while another showcases windows from an 1890s South Florida mansion. Repurposed materials bring beauty—and blessing—to our homes.
Integrity
Words matter because actions follow. If we make a promise, we keep it. From remembering to pray for someone to returning with a full propane tank, we believe our actions define our integrity. How we act and what we do matters—to us and to those around us.
